Your chance to watch the Foos live
MSN is streaming the excellent Foo Fighters Wembley concert, and you can catch it here. It's not the entire show, but it's still amazing nonetheless.
The Foos played 2 nights at the new Wembley stadium and sold out both nights, playing in front of 165,000 screaming fans. They were the biggest shows they had ever done, trumping their 2006 Hyde Park concer, which was attended by 85,000 people.
On the second night of the Wembley show, Led Zep members Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones appeared as special guests to perform Rock And Roll and Ramble On. Taylor Hawkins took the mic while Dave went to pound the kit. And man, he's still tight as hell on the drums. I simply love watching Dave on the drums. He's my inspiration man.
The Foos and Led Zep have been friends for a long time now, and Jones was the conductor for the orchestra when the Foos performed The Pretender at the Grammys earlier this year. Call it returning the favour.
Not sure how long the clip will be on MSN, so go catch it while you can. It's an amazing show. I was there in Perth, but I think if I were at Wembley for this one, it would be even better. Like Dave said, "This is the greatest day of my fucking life." Can't disagree with him on this.
